Kapanadze Riddle (continued)

In the comments section of my previous post on the subject I gave some technical information of what is needed to build the main part of Kapanadze’s generator – his controller. It is a copy of Tesla’s mechanical circuit controller built using modern electronic components. Remember, the main idea is to time the spark correctly so that it happens right at the peaks of sine-wave on the receiver coil (secondary) to keep the resonance (cumulative effect) and not let the pulse die out before the next spark occurs. You’re not looking for a damped waves as modern Tesla coil designs do, you’re looking for a rising waveform – a feature of a true Tesla coil! Rising waveform is only possible with sparks at the peaks. Tesla mentioned this in his interview.

You can replicate this effect on a smaller scale even without Tesla coil by using regular transformers at 50/60Hz, that is, by following SR193’s route. In this experiment you can see the two separate circuits powered by the two separate batteries. One is an inverter circuit, the other is simple HV module that sparks into the thick copper coil placed in close vicinity of output transformer of the inverter. Look what happens to the transformer output when the HV module is turned on. These experiments are easy to replicate and you will immediately see the effect – lamp changes brightness with each spark. The experiments still don’t show the whole beauty of the effect because the precise timing of spark is missing in both cases.

Unlike Kapanadze, SR193 doesn’t use coil’s self-resonant frequencies, rather, it uses inverter circuit to drive the output transformer at some fixed frequency and put the spark via the additional winding. This reduces efficiency and he had 200 watts at best if I’m not forgotten. Compare this to Kapanadze’s device that uses Tesla’s approach, a quarter-wave resonance, hence the need for ground in his system. Q-factor of such coil is huge, it is in the thousands range. That means after each spark you get thousands of cycles of damped oscillations and this is the key to efficiency – it allows the spark frequency to be much smaller compared to coil’s resonant frequency (recall the spark frequency of Aquarium device was in the 0-10Hz range).
Those of you who have played with 555 timer ICs, here’s the simplest way to create spark timing. Build two 555 timer circuits, both in Monostable Multivibrator configuration. Put the sine wave as an input to the first 555 timer, adjust the circuit so that it triggers at some point on sine wave, its output would  be a pulse that you feed into the second timer. Adjust the pulse delay of second timer so that it matches the input sine wave peaks. Output of the second timer (peak of sine wave) can be used to commutate charged HV capacitor to the coil for spark to happen (commutator can be a HV transistor or Trigatron for example).
Since this approach relies on capacitor charge/discharge for timing, it is not very precise method but is probably suitable for frequencies even in the low KHz range. In subsequent posts I will show you a better way to make a better spark timing based on digital circuitry.

The white device you see is the commercial gas furnace ignition control module. You wonder what the heck it is doing in Kapanadze’s device? Well, it’s the main part of it 🙂  Replicators are having a hard time figuring out what it is used for. It’s not that complicated. Modern ignition control modules not only do the actual ignition of gas using the HV spark, but also have the sensors mounted near the flame  (ionizing radiation) and as soon as it is detected they stop firing the spark. These modules also have the spark trigger input signal. Now Kapanadze is a clever guy. He puts the flame sensor input very close to his primary coil and plugs the two black HV wires to same coil, leaving a gap for spark. He connects the output of his sine wave peak detector circuit (the one inside the box) to the spark trigger input of the ignition control module. This does two things: (1) Ensures proper timing of sparks and (2) Cuts the HV as soon as spark happens. This is how the flame sensor is being used to get a single spark instead of multiple ones. Now you know everything needed to build your own Kapanadze generator.

  1. But unfortunately, this seems to be one of those fake replications 🙂 This Youtube user seem to started posting all of his "replications" 3 weeks ago. This includes Mutliple devices of Kapanade, Don Smith and overunity transformers. In one of his videos he refers to the fake overunity transformer video from an Indian guy (who is known for doing fake overunity stuff) and calls him an original author of the invention. This alone is enough to debunk him. This guy has a talent though – he makes nice visual copies of the original devices, he even managed to replicate Kapanadze's wiring mess inside his transparent box. But unfortunately, he doesn't seems to understand that this was to hide the real function of the device. He is obviously paid to do these videos 🙂

  2. I suposed that…. All of his stuff is nice looking fakes. Don’s board has some missing parts and most common schematic in web. Is not possible how he states that it’s all what he did is using schematics only. Most secret of Don’s is neon transformer. You cannot buy it, because it creates special modulated waveform. Inside housing of this transformer is special ordered electronics which do it. Principle of working which about You are writing in your website is true. Timing is critical but also is necessary filters which corrects phase shift between coils. It’s described in Kapanadze patent. Kapanadze and Smith is same principle of working. Another electromagnetic phenomena is related with Akula and Ruslan devices. There are no spark gaps and static electricity. There are two high frequency circuits and all what You need to do is keeping correct phase shifting to achieve impose of waves in receiving coils. I thing that is easier way than Smith&Kapanadze methods, because it doesn’t need high voltage transformers and capacitors. This is quite well described in russian language websites and many people and young guys made it:
    This phenomena are not related with electrons activity. It’s related with magnetic and nuclear activity of atoms and methods of stimulating this process.
    If You have some experience with electronics it would be problem to make such this device.

  3. Thank you for your comment. I fully agree with you on most parts. In fact, Kapanadze's device should be treated as a close relative to the Akula/Ruslan's device. Instead of superimposing high-voltage, high-frequency oscillations right at the peak of low frequency oscillations, Kapanadze uses a spark at the peak of the oscillations. Basic idea is same and the effect is easily reproducible. I built this on a prototype board. It uses phase-locked-loop circuit along with digital counters (in frequency divider configuration) to find the peaks on the input sine wave and controls the timing of the spark. Spark is not easy to manage. Akula's approach is probably easier to implement in hardware but I doubt HV HF oscillations are better than HV spark (output seems to be dependent on a HV pulse rise time). This would limit the total power output in their devices I believe.

    Smith is somewhat different. His discovery was that the capacitors and coils could be used to pump and draw in the charges from earth ground using HV only (he called it "Don Smith Effect"). Conventional wisdom doesn't explain capacitor's behavior correctly. They can be used in open circuit configurations. Don's circuits had the output portion wired in a wrong way, "+" from the diode bridge would connect to the one side of capacitor and another side would be grounded through the isolation transformer. My subsequent posts will be on that subject.

  4. Spark is a static electricity and You can get it by charging capacitor by DC current or charging coil by oscillations in resonant tank circuit. In some configurations in Smith and Kapanadze devices after spark gap You have disruptive effect of waveform. You need filters and it is main problem. Energy gain in this process is similar to interference phenomena. Another problem is geting pure sine wave damped oscillations. Most of the drivers or circuits don’t provide this effect. One of methods is using IGBT transistor instead spark gap by solid state configuration or using rotary spark gap or trigatron instead spark gap, but this second is better way. Smith uses it in 37KW generator, where there are two big capacitors from Finland. These capacitors are filtering pulsating DC frequency from the grid rectified AC. I don’t have experience with trigatrons and how to manage it. One of the German website shows diagram how to do it:
    I think that Don’s device based on capacitor plates is one of simpler devices, but without getting magnetic resonance is impossible to get overunity and it back us to proper driving and timing module arrangement. Tesla got it by special commutator very similar device to rotary spark gap.

  5. Thanks for your input. I'll to explain why I support this understanding of Don Smith's devices:

    My first target was Earth Electrical System II device, the one with not-to-scale schematics with coil and grounding capacitor:

    In the "An Answer of America's Energy Deficit" book, under the unique aspects of E.E.S II device, Don lists this:
    (6) "The disruptive discharge of the Tesla coil is absent"
    (9) "The Volt-Amperes reactive concept applies"
    (10) "E.E.S. II is less complicated than Tesla"
    (11) "It uses a different concept of grounding than Tesla"
    (13) "It's rate of energy production and effeciency is much higher than Tesla"
    (15) "The system and it's source utilizes magnetometer studies"

    The device was operating at 100+ MHz. Primary side had a very simplified schematics of what appeared to be HV transformer with frequency and duty cycle controls (variable cap charge/discharge times). Output from the HV module sparks into the primary coil, no capacitor for disruptive discharge as in Tesla. Schematics show that Freqency and Duty controls were used to make spark frequency configurable. Supposedly the gap was adjusted for spark to be triggered at the peak of HV module output, thus stabilizing the spark frequency. OK, nothing fancy so far.

    Device uses grounding in a different way compared to Tesla coils and disruptive discharge is also absent. I had experience with Tesla coils so it was my first WTF… Then I looked closer and found this in the same book: "With impedance being Zero, the system is then coupled directly into the Earth's immense electrical potential". We have series LC tank circuit with the capacitor grounded as seen in antenna impedance matching circuits. This forms an open circuit configuration using a grounded capacitor. At resonance, with each oscillation it can push the electrons to and pull them from the Earth, building up the voltage as in regular series LC circuit. Use of high frequency was preferable because the higher the cycles per second was, faster the voltage would rise in the secondary tank circuit, yielding larger output. Magnetometer studies and maps were used to find the "electron rich" areas as Don described in his 1998 video. This would provide additional amplification. Poor grounding would need higher frequency to pump the same amount of charges, so there was some This all perfectly aligned with the above statements from Don, so I was satisfied 🙂

  6. Later on, when I spotted his discussions on Yahoo groups and went through them, I found more evidence that confirmed my thoughts. Let me list some of his statements:

    "try impedance matching as in antenna and radio type circuits. For example, every thing has resonance. This includes all types of batteries. For the antenna system to be open to the ambient energy of the Universe the impedance must be matched, Once this happens all the energy in the World is Your Oyster"

    "for starting go to rexresearch.com then continue down the list to Frank Wyatt Prentice's Electrical Power Accumulator , this Device works as stated . When properly constructed it works exactly as stated . The 3 Kwatts is not to be sneezed at. My devices are a vast improvement Prentice's. If and when You get Your Device up and running I will supply You with additional information which will move You in as a big winner"

    "It's very clear and as simple as it gets. He states that he uses telluric [ earth ] currents. They are every where present, but there are several things about them that You need to know. There are special maps used by the Geologist which show these energy sources in detail"

    (Note: Fran Wyatt is using the grounding capacitors in a similar way Smith's E.E.S. II does)

    "High Voltage is only useful when properly disipated into a proper grounding"

    "High voltage at high frequency pumps lots of coulombs at a high rate of repetition. This extra energy gets into the system from the Earth's ambient background. Magnets and or coil systems depending on their magnetic permeability reflect this ambient energy. They work very much like an antenna and transformer system, having only receptive energy which is passed through the electron flip system into temporary storage into useful energy"

    "The off – on disturbs the electrons , any method including a plane spark gap will do . An input diode can do the job. The capacitor determines the out put . Being a blocking device no energy passes through capacitor, The output in series into the earth grounding provides an endless energy source . No energy leaves the input capacitor . Therefore all energy from the action in excess of the input and is named free energy based Gibb's . The capacitor used determines the power output . Therefore any and all of my Devices work exactly as I say . USE YOUR BRAIN FOR GOSH SAKES"

    "Bruce, A short summary of the testing – four separate units – all identical. 12 Volt input into 2000 Volt module through 12,000. Volt diode bridge into heavy duty capacitor. Positive diode bridge connect only with, negative capacitor open – unattached. With the system working check the output at the negative capacitor. With a proper hookup it accesses an endless energy source"

    "… Disconnect the main diode bridge negative output from the output capacitor bank. Then hook the disconnected negative capacitor to a separate circuit which powers the load and into an adjustable earth grounding. At this point you are tapped into the universal source of endless energy. There is a simple way which does not require the inverter."

    "Since this is energy from the ambient, is high frequency, use a diode bridge with the negative plate as an open circuit"

  7. From the 2005 Inventor's Weekend conference:

    "… cause the amps don't show up until you do the grounding thing. If you do the dead ground – you don't have anything left, if you ground it properly – you could now bring in the amount of volts and amps you want to custom make it".
    "Actually, what we were seeing here is totally unnecessary, because any energy source which you could put on a capacitor plate, which is not going anywhere, when it hits that capacitor plate, that's the end of the transit of that energy, but the other side duplicate, through the Van der Waals and Casimir effect, the first side, and the second side is an open circuit totally independent from the first side, and on degree of earth grounding you put on that second side, depends the amount of useful energy present, so you adjust that so it matches your requirements"

    From 1996 Tesla conference, while discussing the device that was on the floor (not exact statement but can look it up for you if needed):
    "As a matter of fact, if it's on and you touch one side of the capacitor and ground at the same time, it'll cook you on the spot". Doesn't that sound weird? How can that capacitor electrocute someone without touching both terminals? How can the current flow through the ground in this case? The only answer I can think of is that the cap is in an Open Circuit configuration, with HV acting only on one side and amperes are pumped with the help of Earth ground.

    This is why I'm inclined towards the idea that even 37 KW device uses the same approach – diode bridge positive to one terminal of cap, the other side grounded via the isolation xformer not shown. Otherwise, use of disruptive discharge would be mandatory I believe. This is why I started my research and experiements on open circuit configurations. This is still an ongoing research. Please feel free to disagree with all the above, these are just my personal observations. I will share the experiments I did to stimulate the research in this direction

  8. Regarding Trigatrons there is an easier way using PLL circuit the same way as in old analog TVs. I described it in the comments section of Kapanadze Riddle post from January. Basic idea is to utilize a PLL circuit to trigger cap charging process somewhat earlier such that the discharge happens right where it is needed. It will work with any HV source and capacitor. Tuning the PLL low-pass filters to get the stable operation is probably the trickiest part here. CD4046BE will work nicely here.

  9. You cannot control internal frequency of spark it depends from capacitance and inductance of HV secondary coil or capacitance and inductance at primary coil and capacitor tank. Logic can control only discharge timing. Using low voltage of feeding system is hard to get enough power of spark, because it depends from voltage of charged capacitor. More possible is using any oscillating system but creating sparks in that case is more complicated.

    Don uses extremely high frequencies like more than 100 mhz. Most transistors avalaible on market don’t work at that frequencies. I suppose that he uses lamps or trigatrons with very high voltages, because so high frequency needs very small capacitance of tank capacitor.

    I think that if we have ordinary tesla coil topology then main problem would be find proper switch. Spark gap is not proper way, there it can be placed by rotary spark gap or trigatron. Trigatron is few times smaller and easier to manage. I don't have practical experience with building trigatron switches. If you saw this german website about trigatron based tesla coil that can be good tip. It would be nice if someone know german language and translate it. Google translators is not good way.

    I think that Don Smith found few types of electromagnetic phenomenas like E.E.S. or capacitor plates device (based on Casimir effect). It shows many electromagnetic interactions which results more energy out than in.
    If we mean this effect (Akula&Ruslan) there are not necessary high voltages so we don't need HV transformers, HV capacitors, spark gaps and technical problems related with them. There are more electronics, mainly current sensors, phase shifters and frequency dividers. If I found movie from net where is show what kind of effect we need to achieve.
    On the link it's not exactly how it looks but there are necessary to keep this interaction of magnetic waves.

  10. Thanks for the reply. Maybe “spark frequency” was not the right term but by that I meant number of discharges per second, not resonant frequency of the LC tank. I built a circuit mostly composed of the digital logic that can control the discharge rate and phase. I recently added a forum (link is on top of the page), would be nice to continue the discussion there. We should share as much as possible so the communication is the key 😉
